Vista View Park

Vista View offers a wide range of activities and eight shelters offer plenty of room for family picnicking

With 272 acres of green rolling hills and meadows, Vista View offers a wide range of activities. Our eight shelters offer plenty of room for family picnicking. Other amenities include two playgrounds, basketball courts, an equestrian corral, an airstrip for electric radio-controlled planes and glider pilots, fishing docks, and an area for primitive group camping.

In addition, outdoor enthusiasts have been attracted to the park for its athletic challenges. The hills and fitness trail have become a training ground for many sporting activities. (Skateboarding is not allowed.)

Groups/Gatherings
Large group gatherings of 250 or more persons require prior Park approval and issuance of a Park Permit to address such items as reserving space for the group, traffic control, trash removal/cleanup deposit, etc.

Picnic Shelters
Eight shelters, complete with picnic tables, grills, and electrical outlets. Reservations are required and payment must be made at the time of reservation. Check appropriate link to see a layout of each shelter. Small shelters accommodate 20 to 40; medium shelters accommodate 41 to 60; and large shelters accommodate 90.

Other freestanding picnic areas without shelters are available free on a first-come, first-served basis.

Playgrounds
Two playgrounds, both covered with shade canopies, offer many types of play apparatus. The larger playground is a Universal Access playground that can be used by all different levels of ability. The playground, named Caitlyn’s Corral, is in memory of Caitlyn Munson.
