Temple Solel Early Childhood Center

Welcome to the Anne Arditti Early Childhood Center at Temple Solel.

We offer care for children 3 months to 5 years, our early childhood program is environmentally-based. Rooms are set up in warm, home-like centers where children and adults can play comfortably together.

Our preschool program offers extended hours, recognizing that people can combine positive parenting, with the pursuit of a career or education. For the child, a nurturing and loving childcare center can promote a healthy self-image and independence. Parents can feel comfortable knowing their child is being cared for in a pleasant, developmentally-sound environment. As the safety, health and well-being of our children is paramount, we have several levels of security measures in place, as well as video monitoring, designed to ensure a secure facility.

Early Childhood Education

Programs For Ages Birth through 5 Years

At the Temple Solel Anne Arditti Early Childhood Center, we implement a developmentally appropriate program. The curriculum identifies social-emotional skills, physical development, cognitive & creative abilities, and spiritual opportunities to make connections to our Jewish values.

This is a time when young children develop belief in themselves, and their world that lasts a lifetime. The uniqueness of The Anne Arditti Early Childhood Center can be found in the quality of day-to-day interactions among children, staff, and parents. To the children, it feels like family, a place where they belong. Our environment encourages young children to develop at their own pace, to become independent, and to enjoy learning. To the parents, it feels secure and reassuring, as close to home as possible. To the staff, it feels like caring for a member of their own family.

Our Philosophy

At our Center, we want the children to become independent, self-confident, curious learners who can work well with others. We are teaching them how to be successful, not just in preschool, but throughout their lives.

Our Curriculum

Children learn best by doing. They learn through play which provides the foundation for “school” learning. Play is the work of young children. The goal in our Center is to help the children discover “the magic of play”.

We have created a caring environment which encourages your child to begin at his/her own level to develop emotionally, spiritually, socially, physically and cognitively. A child’s play is his work and our children enjoy an active day building with blocks, experimenting with science and math, creating with art, and taking part in cooking and dramatic play. Our loving teachers give students many opportunities to explore and experiment, question and guess, and to try try try…. again, and until they succeed. Outdoors, children enjoy a special place, and continue to develop and grow. The playground is divided into two sections, one for our youngest students, equipped with safe age-appropriate climbing, riding, and push toys. The play area for our “older” students consists of a large climbing structure, and riding toys that promotes motor skills and further enhances social skills. Both sections have shaded areas for quiet reflection and picnics.

At our center classrooms are planned through your child’s eyes. You too, will see the joy and wonder of discovery that occurs in play activities. Play becomes the foundation for healthy development, and is a powerful component in the lives of children. In play, they learn to use their imagination to solve problems and to explore. At the Early Childhood Center at Temple Solel, the child is the curriculum.

Our Staff

Our low child-to-teacher ratio allows us to give our children the attention they require, and more space in which to learn and play.  Our staff is dedicated to strengthening family life through the transmission of values and Jewish traditions, while at the same time, welcoming families of all faiths.

Our teachers are experienced Early Childhood Educators. All participate in a continuous program of in-service education and studies for professional advancement in order to remain alert to the ever-changing needs of today’s families and to the findings of current research in early childhood education. All of our teachers have completed the 45 hours of training in early childhood from the Department of Children and Families Services and have received their C.D.A., Child Development Associate (or Equivalency) Certification and Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a similar degree.

Under the leadership of our Director, Bibi Kahn-Nazim, our staff does their utmost to make sure your child’s experience at The Anne Arditti Early Childhood Center at Temple Solel is a positive and rewarding adventure that promotes a lifelong love of learning.
